‘Mezz’Aria. La strana apertura della ricerca sonora’, Museo del Novecento e del Contemporaneo di Palazzo Fabroni, Pistoia 2023

The sound installation presents and elaborates outcomes of a remote residency realized during 2020 at NUB for the project Licheni. A stereo sound system hanged on the main staircases of Palazzo Fabroni plays one of the tracks from the edited field recording collection “Affects and Aesthetic Speculations” (Gruenrekorder, 2023), whereas visitors can move from one track to the other by asking directly to the museum guard.

Mezz’aria is a collective exhibition curated by NUB and Gabriele Tosi hosting 15 artisis focusing on diverse approaches on sound and listening practices. Artists include: Giulia Deval, Diana Lola Posani, Elena Biserna, Alessandra Eramo, Chiara Pavolucci, Enrico Malatesta, Stefano De Ponti, Francesco Cavaliere, Francesco Toninelli, Leandro Pisano, Riccardo La Foresta, Luca Boffi, Andrea Borghi, Marco Baldini.
