Attuning to the margins, listening to the end of the world

The residency, talk and listening session were held by the Festival Grande rencontre des arts médiatiques en Gaspésie, curated by Esther Bourdages, and co-produced by the Festival Les Percéides in Percé (Gaspésie, Quebec).

Using Percé as a case study, the project has investigated ways of attuning to marginal areas through listening practice as a resource to exolore how to potentially resonate with the current climate emergency. A series of field recordings – mostly taken in the Norther Gannet colonies on Bonaventure Island – has been played back during the listening session that informed the talk.
