The soundwalk has been developed in Palermo in November 2018 in the framework of the 12th edition of Manifesta European Nomadic Biennial, as part of the Liminaria Festival.

Supported by the Palermo-based cultural organization Sguardi Urbani, the soundwalk aimed at exploring the sonic enviroment of the three traditional markets of Ballarò, Capo, and Vucciria, taking particularly into account the impacts of tourism on the vendors’ street cries, namely abbanniata in the local dialect.
