why patterns? 2016
art residency / performance

In the small village of Città Sant’Angelo the site specific participatory performance was developed thanks to a long distance art residency in the framework of the festival ‘Arte in centro’, promoted by Fondazione Aria, Why patterns?, in collaboration with the contemporary art collecive ‘New Operation Wave’ (NOW), and curated by Barbara Nardacchione.

The process of collecting an archive of field recordings from the inhabitants’s suggestions intends to stimulate the their sonic perception, while during the final performance the public is directly invited to select from the same archive the sounds to be played.
