‘Out of the box’ is a series of talks curated by Tina Heine from Salzburg Jazz and the City festival, dealing with the idea of improvisation an complicity within public space.

A number of performances and installations emerged from the talks and were presented in the Mirabell garden during the last days of the Festival. Among them, ‘The Salzburg wave’ investigates the impact of mass tourism on the developmen of the city, bringing into the quiet Orangerie of Mirabell Garden the sounds recorded in the most crowded touristic areas of Salzburg.
