Collective background is a sonic research  developed during the artistic residency organised within Portobeseno festival.

The main goal of the research is exploring and sonically representing the soundscape of Vallagarina, a rural area between the cities of Trento and Rovereto. A series of interviews and field recordings investigate the acoustic identity of the territory and the common sonic perceptions of the inhabitants. The material is finally presented through a live performance in the Medieval Castel of Beseno.
